Because of new customer support system, which contain also news module, and much more features than blog, we are moving all our efforts to publish news and support customers there.

Service interruptions at 17:45 till 18:15 and 20:55 and 21:15.

Now Virtual ISP is a part of Beirut ISP internet exhange point!

First point, to make www.alfa.com.lb website faster. Some other services will be improved too.

Maintenance on proxy and customer support hotline changed

Dear Customers

In order to improve the reliability and quality of our service, we will be transferring the site to a new server today (30 nov) at 2AM EET (night). HTTP service for some customers will be unavailable for about 15min.

Also our customer hotline changed from +961 3 058971 to +961 3 774200.
Information is updated at customer support panel and main company website.

Recent downtime at last few days, at evening (peak time)

We are experience major instability on one of proxy clusters, and working to eliminate problem.
Today we made changes, that will minimize downtime in case of crash (instead of hour or minutes - few seconds), and we are working to investigate reason of problem.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for being a part of VISP.

Mail server maintenance

The SMTP mail server (usermail.globalproof.net) is scheduled for maintenance
from Saturday (November 8) from 11:00pm to Sunday (November 9) at 6:00am.

This downtime will include a minor reconfiguration and other
maintenance activities to address future performance needs.

During the scheduled down time, you will not be able to send your
mail.

Depending on how your mail client is configured, you may still be able
to receive mail during this period.

The SMTP mail server is one of the most important and heavily used
servers in the VISP and finding a good time for maintenance is
very difficult, as it is always in use. This time period was chosen in
order to impact the least number of users while providing adequate
time to complete the maintenance before the start of work week.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Updates will be posted on the blog.

Further reminders will be sent as we get closer to the maintenance date.

Improvements

We have done minor changes, to improve browsing experience at peak time.
Probably tomorrow customers will notice changes.
And i wish positive :-)
